 Nursery class 1st February 2021

Good morning    Bore da     Dobre’ rano      καλημέρα

I hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend. Thank you again to all your parents for uploading your work and photos to your HWB accounts. I love to see what you have been doing. I can also respond to your work and photos directly and give you virtual stickers! If you need any help or advice on how to use HWB, please contact me or the school. My email is Jonesv20@hwbcymru.netThis week I have chosen the book Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. It is one of my favourites and I have some fun activities to go with it. We are also starting the February reading challenge this week. All you have to do is share 8 books with a family member throughout February and print out and fill in the Pokémon grid attached. If you would like to upload photos or voice recordings, that would be amazing, but please don’t feel pressured. You will receive a certificate when you complete the challenge.  Link for the reading challenge grid is below, Paper copies are also available from the school office.

                 Have a good week

Home learning Monday 18th - 22nd January

  Bore Da

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all well. I have changed the home learning grid this week, and based all the activities around the story of The Gingerbread man. I hope you enjoy them. Thank you, mums and Dads, for all the photos you have put on Hwb. I love seeing the children’s work and being able to comment on it. I have managed to speak to most Parents this week, and I will continue to call, just to check all is well. Please don’t worry if your child isn’t engaging with all activities on the grid, some aren’t ready to sit and write or draw, so by all means, let them do something else. Spray bottles, squirt toys, pegging and using tweezers to pick up small objects are all good ways to improve pencil control. Take care.

Sunday 10 January 2021

 Good Morning children

I hope that you and your families are all safe and well. Thank you to the parents who have emailed me with pictures of their children's home learning tasks. I will be phoning all parents during the coming week just to check in with the children and to make sure they can all access the home learning grids. I will also be giving the children their own Hwb logins which will make it easier for me to see their work and to comment directly about it. It will also be simpler for me to offer ways to extend their learning. There may be no caller ID showing when I call, so if you don’t answer, I will text to say it's me. I have put together another home learning grid for the week. I think I have made it fun, and interesting. If you have any problems, please don’t hesitate to contact school or myself.

               Take care everyone.
